Itinerary
Day 1 We head towards the picturesque village of Lavenham, one of the country’s best-preserved medieval villages. Enjoy time to explore this charming village with its half-timbered houses and historic charm. After a leisurely visit, we continue to our hotel, aiming to arrive late afternoon so you can check in and relax before dinner.
Day 2 Today, we explore the twin villages of Wroxham and Hoveton, known as the Capital of the Broads’. Spend time browsing the shops, particularly the famous Roys of Wroxham. Afterwards, we’ll embark on a leisurely cruise aboard the Southern Comfort, a Mississippi Paddle Steamer specially built for the Norfolk Broads. Enjoy the stunning scenery and excellent commentary from the upper deck or relax on the lower deck where you can purchase snacks, souvenirs, and freshly made tea and coffee.
Day 3 Spend the day relaxing in the charming seaside town of Cromer at your own pace. This small resort is full of character, with narrow twisting streets in the town centre with a lively seafront promenade and a sandy beach. You might want to visit Cromer Pier, home to a lifeboat station and the famous Pavilion theatre.
Day 4 Today, we take a royal visit to Sandringham House, the much-loved country retreat of the late Queen Elizabeth II. This magnificent stately house is set in stunning landscaped gardens and remains very much as it was in Edwardian times. The estate is vast, covering around 20,000 acres.
Day 5 After breakfast, we check out and begin our journey home. On the way we will visit the historic city of Norwich. It’s the perfect place for a stroll along medieval cobbled streets, visiting art galleries and museums, and with fabulous food, along with plenty of shopping opportunities.
