Itinerary
Day 1 We set off early for your exciting journey to Cornwall, pausing along the way for lunch and refreshments, setting the tone for your relaxing holiday at the stunning Fistral Beach Hotel in Newquay.
Day 2 Our adventure continues with a visit to Truro, the only city in Cornwall, known for its flowing rivers, picturesque 18th and 19th century townhouses, and the magnificent cathedral that dominates the skyline. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Hidden since World War I and rediscovered in 1991, these mysterious gardens have been beautifully restored to their former glory.
Day 3 Enjoy a free day in Newquay, one of the nation’s favourite seaside resorts. Relax at one of the delightful beachside eateries or immerse yourself in the surf and spray of Fistral beach, perfect for watching the world go by. You might also browse in the independent shops or take a stroll along the coastal path with spectacular views.
Day 4 We journey up the Atlantic coast, starting with Boscastle, a picturesque natural harbour and village predominantly owned by the National Trust. Next, we visit Tintagel, a place steeped in the legend of King Arthur. Here, you can explore the visitor centre, King Arthur’s Halls, or the 13th century castle (entry not included). Our coastal adventure continues with a stop in Port Issac, recently featured in the film ‘Fisherman’s Friends’ and well-known as the TV setting for ‘Doc Martin’.
Day 5 After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Newquay. We begin our journey home, making stops along the way for breaks and refreshments, reflecting on the memories made during our luxurious Cornish escape.
