Itinerary
Day 1 We begin our journey north, taking in the picturesque landscapes of Wales as we travel. Arriving at the charming Somerset Hotel in the late afternoon, where you’ll experience a warm Welsh welcome with the traditional greeting of “Croeso i Gymru” (Welcome to Wales)
Day 2 Today we travel through the stunning Vale of Conwy to the popular inland resort of Bets-y-Coed, a quaint village where three rivers converge in a beautiful setting. Continuing through the majestic Snowdonia National Park, we reach Llanberis, a vibrant hub nestled at the foot of Snowdon. Here, we’ll enjoy a delightful ride along the lake shore on the Llanberis Lake Railway, taking in the serene beauty of the surrounding landscapes.
Day 3 Enjoy a leisure day in the enchanting Victorian Seaside resort of Llandudno. Take a stroll along the Promenade, admire the superb views from the historic Victorian pier - the longest in Wales. Alternatively, maybe take a ride on the Great Orme Tramway, Britain’s only funicular tramway which has been delighting visitors since 1902.
Day 4 After a hearty breakfast, we venture into the serene countryside to the Roman City of Chester. Immerse yourself in the rich history of this city, with its unique ‘Rows’ of two-tiered timber-framed shops and the historic City Walls, parts of which are almost 2,000 years old. Meander down to the River Dee, where you can savour a riverside lunch or embark on a relaxing city cruise.
Day 5 Our holiday concludes with a visit to the bustling market town of Shrewsbury, renowned as the birthplace of the esteemed naturalist Charles Darwin before we head home with comfort stops enroute.
